Puppy School with a Purpose

Enrol Your Puppy Now to Help Raise Funds for Vital Conservation Efforts

It is with immense pleasure and great excitement that we announce; Mornington Veterinary Clinic is now running Puppy Classes! Determined to not only provide our clients with exceptional veterinary care, but also to parallel that standard in advice, vet nurse Grace will now be running weekly puppy classes. Each Saturday she will be helping and guiding new puppy owners in teaching their pets basic obedience, she will also be delivering nutrition and health advice.

Each week basic obedience skills will be taught and practised in class. Grace will also provide advice on diet, parasite prevention, grooming as well as the health and well-being of your puppy. Running classes from the clinic means your pet will hopefully begin to enjoy their trips to the vet as they associate them with fun, but it also means pets will be socialised in a controlled environment.

Classes will be run from the clinic each Saturday at 2:30pm. While the classes will run as a four week course, pets are still welcome to attend after completing the course for some extra practice and socialisation. To attend each week we only ask for a minimum donation of $10. Funds raised by Grace and the Puppy Classes are going towards vital conservation work.

Grace has been dedicating her time off from the clinic to being a wild life foster carer, raising many a small possum over the past few years. She’s now wishing to take her skills as a Veterinary Nurse and Carer and embark on a conservation effort. This has always been a goal of hers since first getting into the animal care industry and all of us at the clinic are thrilled to be able to support her through her efforts. Grace has logged many hours in front of the computer researching different conservation organisations and groups, finally setting her sights on a global organisation that seeks sustainability in all of their projects. “The pride they take in making sure their initiatives stick and the vast scale of their reach To read more about this organisations efforts click here.

While Grace prepares herself and implements the necessary actions, she proposed executing a fundraiser in the form of a puppy school. Thrilled at the thought of not only providing our clients with a long awaited service but also investing in a great cause, we now present Mornington Veterinary Clinics Puppy School. Grace’s knowledge and enthusiasm made her a perfect candidate for teaching puppy classes and after witnessing her passion and drive with this particular topic, there was really no question. So we can safely say that classes with Grace will undoubtedly be fun for not only the puppies, but their two legged counter parts as well!

We look forward to seeing you there!
