About us

The Mornington Vet Clinic has been caring for the pets of Mornington Peninsula and its surrounds for over 40 years. Our staff thoroughly enjoy the relaxed family environment of our clinic, and being able to develop close bonds with our clients and their companions.

Dr. Adam Stefani started working at Mornington Vet Clinic in January 2003. After experiencing other larger multi-vet practices, he instantly came to appreciate the close client bonds and level of care he was able to provide at this small personal clinic.

Adam purchased the clinic in 2008, and after the lease ran-out on Main Street in December 2009, moved to his new purposely fitted-out clinic in the safer and quieter location within Mornington Industrial Park. In this new fully equipped clinic, he can offer the highest level of Veterinary care at the same time as keeping the clinic the small and personal environment that is truly enjoyable.

Dr Adam Stefani
Dr Adam Stefani
Principal Veterinarian & Practice Owner

Adam began as a newly graduated vet at the Mornington Vet Clinic in 2003, back when the clinic was on Main Street. After five years of appreciating the benefits of a family-run clinic and the opportunities for personal connection with clients and patients that it allows, Adam bought the clinic in 2008 with the aim of continuing this level of service and care. Adam has a special interest in orthopaedic cases and regularly performs TPLOs and ECRs for patients with cruciate injuries.

Adam’s Italian greyhound Henry and kelpie Jet often join us at the clinic.

Dr Karlien Penning

Karlien graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa in 2012. While most of her career has been in general practice clinics, she also spent four years working in an emergency and referral centre before emigrating to Australia with her family in 2021. She has a special interest in medicine cases as well as ultrasonography.
Karlien’s two dogs, Lifi and Knuffel, also made the move to Australia from South Africa and a cheeky cavoodle pup called Fluffy joined the family earlier this year.

Dr Breanna Dingley
Dr Breanna Dingley
Veterinarian

Breanna is a Mornington Peninsula local who began her career as a veterinary nurse at Mornington Veterinary Clinic in 2021. After graduating from the University of Melbourne in 2025, she was thrilled to return to MVC as a veterinarian — not that she ever really left. Having decided she wanted to be a vet at just four years old, Breanna grew up surrounded by animals and hands-on care, inspired by her mum’s work as a veterinary nurse and the many patients she helped nurse back to health.

Breanna has a special interest in medicine and soft tissue surgery and is passionate about providing thoughtful, genuine and high-quality care to every patient she treats. In 2024, she expanded her experience internationally through wildlife veterinary work in Africa — an adventure that included some very memorable (and hands-on) moments.

Outside of the clinic, Breanna enjoys horse riding and indulging in her love of good wine and cheese. She’s also a proud dog mum to Sebastian, a charming but camera-shy whippet. You may spot the pair at one of the local dog beaches — although Sebastian firmly prefers staying on dry land and will definitely not be swimming.

Maggie Hunter
Maggie Hunter
Practice Manager

A life-long love of cats led Maggie to a part-time job at a vet clinic and cattery in Auckland, New Zealand – fourteen years of nursing and clinic experience and a move across the Tasman later, she manages the day-to-day running of our clinic and has been with the Mornington Vet Clinic since 2017. Valued clients, healthy pets, and a fulfilled and happy veterinary team are what Maggie strives for.

Maggie and her partner Bryce are kept busy at home with their little girl Daisy, Motley the cheeky kelpie cross, and a very spoilt domestic long hair cat called Ned.

Bridie Willis
Bridie Willis
Head Veterinary Nurse

With 14 years of nursing experience behind her, Bridie leads our nursing team and supports our trainee nurses with their learning and studies. She began her nursing career in Dromana before heading over to Perth for a change of scenery and joined the Mornington Vet Clinic in 2018 when she moved back to the Mornington Peninsula.

Bridie and her fiancé Darren have two young daughters, Ella and Bonnie, as well as Chino the pug, and Shady the French bulldog.

Molly Lee-Hallo
Molly Lee-Hallo
Veterinary Nurse

Having grown up with dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds, it seemed only natural for Molly to pursue a career working with animals! She has been with the MVC family since February 2022 and is learning and progressing alongside our nurses and vets to complete her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Her furbabies – Ollie the border collie and Mia the domestic medium-hair cat – are so loved and you can expect your pets to receive the same level of attention and cuddles while under Molly’s care.

Jess Isaacs
Jess Isaacs
Veterinary Nurse

Jess had always wanted to work with animals and found her passion in veterinary nursing. Since beginning her nursing career in 2021, she has always had a keen interest in animal behaviour and is currently studying her Animal Training and Behaviour certification. She loves a challenge and the variety of medical cases that working in a vet clinic presents.
In her spare time Jess loves going camping and doing any type of craft she can get her hands on.

Sophie Perkins-Crowson
Sophie Perkins-Crowson
Veterinary Nurse

A self-proclaimed crazy cat lady, Sophie has always seen herself working in the animal care industry. Sophie started her nursing journey in 2023 and joined the MVC team at the beginning of 2024 (after coming to our clinic as a client!). She is currently studying a Certificate III in Animal Care Services and plans to follow this with a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Sophie has been a Mornington Peninsula local since 2003 when she emigrated from England and in her spare time enjoys snowboarding, camping, and art. At home, Sophie and her partner share three beautiful felines – Sophie’s childhood fur-baby Roxy, gorgeous Piper, and cheeky Phoenix.

Lauren Carroll
Lauren Carroll
Veterinary Nurse

Since she was little, Lauren has spent her life on and off family properties being surrounded by large farm animals, as well as her own cats and dogs. Being around animals from such a young age sparked a passion for animals and their welfare, leading Lauren to begin her veterinary nursing career in 2018. Lauren started in general practice and then took the step to further her nursing skills in emergency for a few years. She is now happily back in general practice here at MVC.

Lauren shares her home with her partner Aaron and their two cats, Diego and Mufasa, and their Sully the Golden Retriever.

Chelsey Prosser
Chelsey Prosser
Veterinary Nurse

Chelsey has been working as a Cert IV Qualified vet nurse for over 8 years now and she still absolutely loves what she does! Her main interests lie in anaesthesia, radiography and nurse consultations – she enjoys being involved in all stages of patient care and loves getting to know both pets and their people.
She has a soft spot (okay, maybe a major obsession) for the Boxer breed – their goofy personalities and endless energy never fail to make her smile. Chelsey and her partner were lucky enough to share almost 11 years with Jaidah, a Boxer X Staffy, who was everything to their family. Sadly, Jaidah passed suddenly last year and while the time hasn’t been right to welcome another dog just yet, they do have a cat named Milly who is a Naughty Torti!
When not in scrubs, Chelsey is busy chasing after her busy two year old daughter, cheering on her partner at footy, running to stay fit, or catching up with friends and family. She is also a big fan of anything musical, crafty or creative and has a growing collection of tattoos that tell little stories about who she is.
“I feel so lucky to be part of such a passionate and caring team, and I’m always up for a chat – especially if it involves dogs, kids, or cool tattoos!”

Caitlyn Weir
Caitlyn Weir
Trainee Veterinary Nurse

Caitlyn is a life-long animal lover, growing up with dogs, cats, rabbits, mice, and birds, and dreams of owning a hobby farm in the future. She completed her Certificate III in Animal Care in 2023 and is soon undertaking the Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, all while gaining experience at the Animal Emergency Centre as well.
Caitlyn has been a Peninsula local since 2008 and when she’s not reading books or camping, she is at home with her dog Shelby and two cats, Luna and Diago.

Lee Edwards
Lee Edwards
Veterinary Receptionist

Lee has been an active and passionate dog show enthusiast since she was a teenager. She has keenly exhibited and bred Dalmatians and Chihuahuas with her family since 1978. This much-loved hobby has enabled her to gain extensive experience and knowledge regarding breeding, raising, and caring for dogs.

She has also worked in the Pet Retail industry and is a qualified Puppy School trainer. Lee was welcomed into the clinic in May 2023 and loves greeting all pets and their owners at reception.

At home, Lee and her hubby, Trevor, share their home with four fur-kids – two Chihuahuas and two Dalmatians
