The Mornington Vet Clinic has been caring for the pets of Mornington and its surrounds for over 40 years. Our staff thoroughly enjoy the relaxed family environment of our clinic, and being able to develop close bonds with our clients and their companions.
Dr. Adam Stefani started working at Mornington Vet Clinic in January 2003. After experiencing other larger multi-vet practices, he instantly came to appreciate the close client bonds and level of care he was able to provide at this small personal clinic. Adam and Victoria purchased the clinic in 2008, and after the lease ran-out on Main Street in December 2009, moved to their new purposely fitted-out clinic in the safer and quieter location within Mornington Industrial Park. In their new fully equipped clinic, they can offer the highest level of Veterinary care at the same time as keeping their clinic the small and personal environment that they truly enjoy.
Meet Our Staff
Dr. Adam Stefani
After graduating from the University of Melbourne, Adam enthusiastically joined Mornington Veterinary Clinic in January 2003. Immediately drawn to the intimate and caring nature of the clinic, Adam and Victoria then gladly purchased the practice in December of 2008. Despite a current trend of over-commercialised, multi-location Veterinary Businesses, Adam has remained dedicated to providing the genuine personal touch to Veterinary Care. Priding himself on keeping up to date with techniques and procedures, from general pet health to Orthopaedics, Oncology and more. Passionate about your pets health Adam has devoted himself to maintaining a clinic that is fitted with state of the art technology to meet your pets Veterinary needs, all the while ensuring that his care remains both affordable and accessible. While Adam is ever present at the Clinic and endeavours to make himself readily available for all his patients and clients, his time spent at home is divided between his dogs Jet, Sassy and Henry. Adam also enjoys spending time outdoors on the water.
Dr. Maddie Westbrook
Maddie’s Mornington Vet Clinic journey began while she was completing her placement. After spending 5 weeks here, Maddie knew that upon graduating from Melbourne University in 2016 there was no other clinic for her. Born and raised on the Mornington Peninsula, Maddie easily emulates the community’s charm and warmth. Her enchanting disposition and ever present smile have easily charmed our clients, while her natural affinity with animals has our patients feeling at ease. Maddie’s disposition is perfectly suited to the clinic and she can’t wait to develop bonds with all our amazing patients and clients. During her studies Maddie has developed a keen interest in Opthalmology, also studying Biomedical Science at Deakin University Maddie has already begun a well rounded wealth of knowledge. At home Maddie enjoys Gardening, Baking and spoiling her cat Penny along with her Border Collie’s Fly and Lucky.
Victoria
Victoria has worked as a Veterinary Nurse at Mornington Vet Clinic since she purchased the practice with Adam in December 2008. In addition to management and nursing duties, Victoria has a special interest in injured wildlife and has successfully rehabilitated many native birds and mammals over the years. Victoria grew up in Mt Eliza and started as a part-time nurse while pursuing a career as a professional athlete, competing in many triathlons and ironman events. Even after Victoria’s career change, she still enjoys keeping fit and training on a regular basis. Victoria spends her free time sailing and caring for her many pets.
Maggie
Working with animals was always on the cards for Maggie, who began her career in 2009 as a cattery assistant and veterinary receptionist. She completed her nursing qualifications via correspondence and by the end of 2010 was working as a full-time nurse at the same small animal clinic, in her home town of Auckland, New Zealand. Maggie moved to Melbourne in 2014, and has since worked as a Cattery Manager and Emergency & Critical Care nurse. After making the move to Frankston, she joined our nursing team in November 2017 and is loving Peninsula life! She loves all creatures great and small, but has an extra soft spot for our feline friends. She has two cheeky pets at home to keep her and her partner company – Ned, a domestic long hair (whose tolerance for cuddles is displayed in Maggie’s photo!), and Motley, a mischievous Kelpie X Heeler.
Bridie
Bridie started her veterinary nursing journey along the Mornington peninsula in 2009 where she completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Since then she has made the big move over to Western Australia for 5 years. In Perth Bridie was lucky enough to come across some amazing veterinary nurse opportunities which have furthered her skill set and knowledge, before deciding to return back to the peninsula to continue her journey. Bridie has always loved working with animals, with a special interest in surgical nursing. Bridie and her partner have 2 fur babies, Chino the pug and the newest and cutest recruit Shady the French bulldog, to keep them busy. Bridie is also a sucker for the outdoors, particularly camping and snowboarding.
