Surgery & Anaesthesia
At MVC we strive to ensure that every anaesthetic is tailored to each patient, taking into account potential risks such as advanced age & pre-existing health conditions.
Every patient is monitored by a nurse who makes use of various pieces of equipment (SPO2, ECG monitors, etc.) & is responsible for checking vital signs & keeping the vet informed throughout your pet’s procedure or surgery.
We routinely perform a range of surgeries, including:
- Desexing
- Hernia repair
- Lump/ soft tissue mass removal
- Tissue biopsy (sample collection)
- Wound repair
- Foreign body removal
- Exploratory laparotomy
- Anal gland excision
- BOAS surgery (partial resection of the soft palate (staphylectomy), nares & laryngeal saccules)
- Caesarean section

If you have any questions regarding a specific surgery requirement, please contact us to discuss your pet's needs.
